NO, most of the big island of Hawaii is taken up by the mountains Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea. You can drive all the way around the island on one road but there is no place that leads to a fresh water lake. If you want to water ski, its gotta be on the ocean. For information on things to do on the big island, check out this web site: http://www.gohawaii.com/bigisland/

Sorry but I've lived in Hawai'i all my life and found no Lakes except Lake Wilson in Wahiawa but HELL NO! Thats a nasty A$$ Lake. But besides you come to Hawai'i to do all the watersports possible on our beautiful beaches DUHHH! Besides you won't find no lakes on the BIG ISLAND got lots and lots of LAVA FIELDS. Maybe a few fresh water ponds but none that are big enough to waterski in.

There are no lakes here on the Big Island. Oahu and Kauai have lakes/resevoirs big enough to water ski but pretty sure the rules are electric engines only - so... no water skiing. There are definitely plenty of other water activities here and it is definitely the cheapest island to visit.

I don't remember seeing any lakes when I lived there, but most people were too bust in the ocean to find any lakes.

You can waterski in the ocean, you know. You can also swim, surf, and pee there too.
