There is a really small percentage of African-Americans in Hawaii and of course, they're able to get jobs like anyone else - more so there than anywhere else in the US. Why would Hawaii be different?

That community is rather small. But Hawai'i is a very welcoming and non-discriminatory place; people of any race have no big problem finding jobs. I think you would feel very much at home there.
