Which place has better snorkeling? Hawaii or Florida Keys?

but Hawaii has less reef sharks and sting rays than Florida does....



Hawaii snorkeling is awesome...the waters stay clearer longer throught out the day.



In florida the water gets murky at high noon...and the sharks come out to feed

They are both GREAT spots to snorkel, but in general you will have better close in snorkeling in Hawaii.

That said, I have seen rays and sharks while snorkeling at Looe Key off Big Pine Key ,FL as well as lots of other tropicals, and seen turtles and eels while snorkeling in HI. Either place is pretty sure to be a good spot to get wet and see lots of cool stuff but you will (generally) have better luck closer to shore in HI.

by far hawaii, no comparison....thje florida keys suck especially around key west--the water was NOT clear, the coral was not vibrant and the fish were minimal.....in hawaii it is the total opposite anywhere you go....the fish and wildlife you'll see in hawaii is amazing--turtles, jellyfish, every salt water fish imaginable
