6. Hawaiian food i recommend Aloha Mix Plates(Great Deals!) in Lahaina in back of the cannry mall.

5. Haiku, Twin Falls Hike

4.IAO Vally (words cant describe how amzeing)you can swim in cold streams, remember to hike up past all the torists are aprox 1+ hr the 360 view of the green forest mountains and the 7 waterfalls will leave you breathless....

3 .Makena Beach (nickname Big Beach) has the most amazing turquoise/blue water..also a short hike up a clif and down is a nudist beach(Little Beach) if your in to that...

2.Lahaina, between nov-april you can watch the humpback whales, right up the road is Kaanapali awesome mall(whalers village mall)and a short walk to the beach with the best sunsets on the whole island, north of Lahaina is awesome all the little towns beaches, views.....

1 .HANA!!!is full of waterfalls along the way.. fresh fruits along the way, blacksand beaches (waianapanapa state park)my fave beach is Hamoa....VERY TROPICAL,small amounts of people.also haleakala(elve 10,000 feet) dormat valcano must watch the sunrise...

Be sure to grab a (name of Island) THIS WEEK. Its a magazine listing everything going on on that particular island. Oahu has a lot of activities, but it is mostly over developed theme parks. Honolulu is a big city, and you have to lay upside down to get a tan. The Pipeline and Sunset Beaches are spectacular, but too rough for kids. Pearl Harbor is very moving. Maui is a more relaxed vacation setting. Quiet beaches and Lahina is a fun town. The drive to Hana is very long and beautiful, and the 7 pools are incredible. Haleakala volcano is amazing at sunrise. Take a boat ride to Molikini for great snorkle/scuba. Kauai is less developed, & more relaxed.. Nepali coast you can snorkle in the grottos, and Waiamaya Canyon is fabulous. I like the Big Island the best (Hawaii) The active volcano, black sand beaches and pineapple plantations. But it may be too rugged with a baby and a grandma. I think Maui is the best island as a base with kids. Try to visit at least 2 islands to get some diversity. You cant see everything unless you are there at least a month.

I can tell you that Maui is a great place to check out. Have to do dinner at least a couple times in La Haina. You don't even need reservations....there's great spots up and down that place....right on the water. You should stop by any one of a bunch of little stands that give you stuff to do. You can go snokeling with tons of fish. You can go for a helicopter ride (cool as hell...right intoa waterfall). You can do fishing....I caught an 8 foot marlin! There's a cool bikeride down from a domant volcano. You can rent a surfboard and kook it up with the locals. (Actually some really good surf spots). Yuo have to drive Hana...it's the most beautiful drive....then jump into the "seven sacred pools"....great time. Whaler's village is another spot to hang out and get dinner and snokel around.

Oahu? I couldn't tell ya.

Maui is really well known for its whale watching (depending on when you are going, check the season for whale watching), bike ride down Haleakela (heard the view on top before you start the ride down is absolutely beautiful), go to a luau, road to hana drive and snorkel at molokini (sorry about spelling)

In Oahu, there is always the nightlife. and you have to go see the Don Ho show "tiny bubbles!"

Enjoy the trip

On Maui this time of the year go whale watching and, of course, a luau.
